Validation/Verification Engineer
Detailed Description:
Validation/verification engineers are key members of the product development teams. You will be working closely with design, application and system engineers with a focus towards developing and implementing test solutions : both software and hardware that will ensure that our products are robust and compliant with specifications. Provide validation checks and balances throughout critical customer sampling phases during the design cycle. You will decipher and convert specifications from customers and system engineers into workable test solutions. You'll also support the design, characterization and device validation of RF front end module products. Test results will be analyzed and summarized by the Validation Engineer for data review and as guidance for design revisions throughout the product development cycle.
The work will include but not be limited to the following:
- Create Test Specification Files that define all required tests using Skyworks:proprietary automated test compliance software
- Create / Modify Skyworks:proprietary Test Programs that drive automated test solutions
- Drives Design Verification Test (DVT) testing and actively provides feedback to Design, Product, Systems, Applications, Characterization and Test Engineering as well as direct customer interface roles
- Maintain a comprehensive specification compliance matrix throughout all product development stages, highlighting performance deficiencies and areas requiring attention during the active product development
- Guide and mentor Engineering technicians.
- Serves as the key interfaces to Product Engineering (PE), Characterization Engineering (CE), Applications Engineering (AE), Systems Engineering (SE) and Test Engineering (TE)
- Responsible for the transition from DVT testing to characterization to final test

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Primary job responsibilities may include automated or semi:automated testing of parts, data post:processing, plotting, statistical analysis, documentation.
- Primary task is to properly execute DVT work requests using test programs provided by the design or test engineer and provide initial screening of measurement results.
- Schedule and scrutinize DVT work requests for completeness and identify areas requiring additional clarification, resources, or test program development for new or unusual requirements.
- Must maintain a strong customer focus and proactively communicate priority conflicts and potential or actual schedule slips while maintaining the high level of throughput necessary to support Skyworks dynamic and diver
