Position Description
This position is responsible for generating business and commercial revenue by developing new client relationships and maintaining existing account relationships. Responsibilities for the Commercial Risk Advisor include developing relationships with business and commercial bankers to initiate referrals, analyzing potential business and commercial client exposures, recommending appropriate coverage solutions, negotiating with clients to sell placement of coverage solutions offered by First Citizens. This associate will have accountability for ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines. The Advisor will also be accountable for reviewing and ensuring timely collection of clients accounts receivable balances as well as sales forecasting, tracking and reporting.

Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree
Minimum of 2 years direct insurance sales experience.
:Or:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 6 years direct insurance sales experience.
Property and casualty license
Additional Requirements
Carrier appointment is required for all associates in positions for marketing, production, commercial lines service, personal lines service and group life health service.
Job appropriate licensing is required (e.g. Property and Casualty, Life and Health, Resident Brokers etc.). A successful candidate must already hold the licenses or be licensed within 60 days of hire date.
Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and follow sales management discipline including sales forecasting, tracking and reporting.

Strong insurance regulatory compliance knowledge.
Possess strong personal computer skills including experience in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Access.

Possess good problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
