Department: Operating Room Schedule: Evenings; M-F Shift: Full Time Hours: 3p-11p with night, weekend call Job Summary Performs routine/designated technical functions before, during and after the operative procedure and clerical functions under the direction/supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or surgeon/physician to provide optimal/quality care and patient safety consistent with High Point Regional Health's mission, philosophy, goals, standards, and bylaws. Education High School Diploma or GED General Studies Required Associates Surgical Technology Required* * Graduation must be from an accredited school of surgical technology or documentation of successful completion of equivalent Surgical Technology program. Certifications, Licensures and Registrations Surgical Technology Certification Preferred CPR certification (BLS Course C) Required* * or must meet requirements for restricted CPR certification. Experience 1+ Surgical Setting Experience Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful completion of General Hospital Orientation provided by TCU. Successful completion of specialty/subspecialty orientation. Possess excellent communication skills. Ability to understand and follow the directions. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills required.
